  Long ago, Kazimir was a much-feared name in his homeland. People only spoke it in whispers, afraid they might summon him by mistake. His actual arrival was cause for panic, and often resulted in great slaughter and destruction. He was a lord among vampires, and an unholy terror to everyone else. His awful influence might have gone on forever if not for the brave soul that finally took him down, and the people who sealed him away. And he might have remained asleep in an old, dusty crypt if not for the forgetfulness of time, and some unfortunate, curious humans. Kazimir reawakened to a world completely changed, one that couldn't simply be conquered by brute force.
  Before he could even try, he was confronted by a secret organization with an offer: they would give him whatever he needed in exchange for his assitance. Kaz reluctantly accepted, but the deal didn't go entirely as planned. He got whatever he wanted, for the most part, but didn't always cooperate. Unfortunately, there wasn't much the organization could do to force him; though not nearly as powerful as he once was, he wasn't something to be messed with. So now they're just sort of stuck with him, and he seems to have no interest in moving on.
