  Until a few years ago, Seth's life was completely normal, as far as anyone knew. He did well in school, had a few sort-of friends, and didn't really bother anybody. He spent a lot of time outdoors, and one night while camping, he and a high school friend were attacked by a creature they couldn't understand. The friend didn't make it, and Seth almost didn't either, until he got hold of the axe next to the fire. He used it to take the attacking creature apart, and found that, despite everything, he thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Unbeknownst to anyone else, he'd grown up with a strange, violent rage inside him, and had tried to channel it toward many things: studying and hunting, mostly. But nothing relieved that energy like killing that monster, and he now knew what he was meant to do.
  Ever since that night, Seth has spent about half of his time continuing his studies and the other (maybe slightly more than) half stalking and dispatching supernaturals. He doesn't have any special way to find them, so he follows sightings and reported attacks, and basically takes out whatever he finds. He doesn't see the supernaturals as people- or maybe he does, and it just doesn't bother him. Whatever he believes, he's an absolute thorn in the side of the government agency responsible for proper relations between humans and monsters. On some level, he knows they exist, but has so far managed to stay a step ahead.
